Peyvand made this first short film and stop motion animation through a commission from MENA Arts UK. This is something Peyvand wouldn’t have been able to do outside of a lockdown when juggling many side jobs.

Peyvand Sadeghian is a Performer and Performance maker who makes work for the curious and socially engaged. Their work takes an interdisciplinary approach and combines performance, puppetry and text. Springing from her own experience as a woman of mixed immigrant heritage, and growing up in one of the poorest parts of the UK, common themes include resistance, displacement, and memory.
Recent work includes : The Art of Uprising (MENA Arts UK short film commission), DUAL دوگانه (Vault Festival Show of the Week Award 2020, Barbican Theatre Open Lab)
Current: Tamasha Theatre Playwrights 2022, Nouveau Riche Associate Artist 2022. Peyvand is currently filming an SVOD programme due for release in 2023.
